There’s a big circus tent on Todmorden Park, and someone has posted a nice photo of it. People who like photos of Todmorden might also like the Hairy Bikers. And Jason Manford, but only if he’s been painted. Everyone likes ice cream, anyway, so that’s fair enough.
As a matter of fact I am, so sad to say I have one foot in the grave. But thanks, Facebook – now I won’t have to worry about how my grieving relatives are going to be able to afford the kind of funeral one associates with, say, the Kray twins. For £10, 979 I would certainly think we can run to horses with plumes at the very least.
As you may know from a previous post, my friend Lynn and two colleagues are opening a craft gallery in Bacup. It’s called Cloud 9 Gallery. It showcases the work of artists and craftspeople – jewellers, printmakers, textile artists and so on. What it really doesn’t do is middle-distance running or being a metal band.
My best friend Lynn. This is a photo from the new blog for Cloud 9 Gallery, an art and craft gallery opening soon in Bacup, Lancashire, which she is setting up along with her two friends and colleagues Rebecca and Catherine. I’m really excited about this, and it’s not even me doing it.
Even for a species well known for its audacity, this particular seagull stands out, I think.
